Hello, nice to meet you!

I'm Thomas, a designer with a masters in Human-Computer Interaction. I create user-centred design solutions, conduct research, and enjoy working closely with engineers, customers and users.

What I do in my current role

At realworld one I design multi-user VR experiences. I am involved in various customer projects in parallel and provide support across all stages - From project definition to delivery.

In my daily work, I collaborate with project managers and engineers using Miro and Figma. I also help maintain our design system. We continuously improve our design process and recently adopted Shapes XR for spatial prototyping.

I actively promote the implementation of more user-centred methods, develop educational resources for colleagues, and help them formulate questionnaires and interview questions. To be more effective in my efforts, I completed a course in UX Management: Strategy and Tactics. As a result, I was able to get stakeholder buy-in to conduct multiple research and discovery initiatives - Improving our understanding of our users.

Curious about our experiences? Check out the video below!

Where I studied and learned

My masters' final year was entirely online, but I still moved to France to experience the culture (and french bakeries). Equipped with Zoom, Miro, Notion, and Co., my peers and I didn't let this get in the way of our education. After this, we are remote working experts.

Aalto was the first university in my double degree. It was a fantastic study experience with many hands-on projects, great teachers, a beautiful campus, and awesome hidden places for a spontaneous barbeque.

I did my bachelor's in media computer science at the TU Dresden. I became a decent programmer and learned techie things like computer architecture and information- & encoding theory.
